The Surfer export 1.3.0.1 no longer limits elevation mapping to 32,000 units.

A new import/export plug-in set, Document Chunk, lets one work on a Leveller document in sections. You can import a piece of a large file, work on it, and then write it back to the same or to another file, at any location. The docs has more info.
