Maybee i should restart here I want a walk around lens for my R3 it should be less than 600 euros I want the best possible 'Leica look' for the money. I do not mind having another prime, but in this case maybe a zoom would be better. My options so far (thanks to you guys) : 1. Angenieux 35-70 : not cheaper, not better than Leica zooms, just different, bit kinky build (not my words ;-) ) 2.Leica 35-70 f4 : within price range, very nice pictures, plenty available. F4 ! (DOF, light needed) but zoom ! Picture quality comparable to the very nice summicron pictures ... 3. summicron 50mm : faster and 'cheaper' No zoom off course. At the moment i lean toward the leica 35-70 f4, because i already own very nice nikon 35mm and 50mm 1.8 primes, but i do not own a zoom in that range. Other thoughts ???? Is the version of these lenses important ? Do i need rom ? Is summilux much better ? Would i be happy with the 35-70mm f3.5 ? thank you, Axel ----- Original Message ----- From: "William B.
