R glass was really good, there's no denying that.
Superb light and rendition.

The bird adds a lot to the second one, nice catch.

BTW: were these shot BW or have you digitally turned them into BW?

I believe these were taken with a Leica R8,
the first one with a lux 50mm and the second with the Elmarit 19 mm / 2.8 2nd version.
