Not at all, Bille.
As a matter of fact, this is one of the few lenses that, after seeing
the picture, has made me think "Wow! What lens was this?"
With my Leica reflex lenses, the same has happened with the 60mm
macro-Elmarit and the 180mm 3.4. That "wow" has not happened with
other lenses but, as it is also very picture-specific, I don't know
what it means. One develops personal preferences and dislikes for
unconscious reasons more than for lpmm measurements...
It may be that you happen to look at a good picture shot with the
optimal f-stop. Not a scientific comparison by any means.
(With my Contax lenses, it has happened with the 45G and the 21G)
