[LRflex] Re: life along the seine...

Steve:

About Image 94711 (buildings across the Seine):

The Clouds and sky (one of my obsessions) remind me of results from my R
28-90 Asph. A marvelous counterpoint to the regimentation of architecture
below. Nice diffused cloud reflection on the water's surface. Make the
print appear as though there is some vingnetting but it's really just the
tone differntial between the center and opposing ends of the river.

Almost as if one used a light red filter or a little bit of Photoshop to
really define the margin between the blue sky and white/to/gray shades of
the clouds.

I seldom find I have to use use any filter with the 28-90 except a Heliopan
circular polarizer where water (i.e. koi in a pond) or really offensive
glare is involed. Same with the 70-180 APO.

Of course, there's always the classic dark sky fluffy could driftwood-type
scenes where a red filter really makes it pop.

Anyway, lovely, natural-looking sky. Was this with the M 35 2.0?

Bottom line, I really like the shot.
