[LRflex] Re: leicareflex Digest V4 #145

Merci beaucoup, Xavier......yes, it seems like Canon sensor is a nice
counterpart to Leica glass for rendering color photos.  I assume it
should be great for B&W too, although I need to yet try the resident
B&W mode of the camera, and not desaturate post-facto in Photoshop.
Another great sensor I found, esp. for skin tones, is the Fuji S1, S2
D-SLR's (I've only tried S1 & S2).  They are up to S5 now, which
actually has very low noise at high ISO's, on top of brilliant color
rendition, so I have heard.  Only problem is that it cannot mate with
Leica-R lenses.  OTOH, some results I got from Nikon AF optics w/Fuji
sensors ain't bad at all......altho' I am still partial to Leica
optics.
