[LRflex] Re: leicareflex Digest V3 #22

Hi Eric,
I also suspect the 2X - I can't really tell to what extent for now but I
will have to investigate.
You know, it was my first roll with the "new" Angenieux, and the weather
was fine - it's been overcast and snowy since ...

Anyway it makes sense that the more glass you slide in between the film
and the "target", the bigger the difference between what you saw and
what you get.
I'll carry out experiments on slides; there I'll sure be able to tell if
the 2X is a real cause or problem. I had so far blamed more my 70/210 by
Leitz than the 2X; hence my buying the Angenieux.

I 'm also aware that my scanner is not up to professional standards -
Might be another cause, which pleads for turning fully digital I know.

Just for INFO to the LIST: I had another remark from an old friend of
mine who's been a Nikon addict for decades and said the snap would have
gained had I played more with the drakes' reflection and included it in
the frame. I quite agree with him, but that would have been a different
picture. It would have been art (perhaps that's what Javier meant?),
which doesn't exclude technical considerations either or the quest to
get a picture that is as true to life as possible. Reproduction vs
creation or rather, creating while reproducing; isn't this a beautiful
challenge?.

Well I was quite pleased with this pix, and still am, but I'm also
willing to progress, so thanks all for viewing and particularly for
commenting and questionning
Yours
Phileicangenieux
