Hi David,
My thinking is the same as yours since the Leica
manual does not mention ANYTHING about acually
shooting the picture while still in "F" mode.
However, to get the flash equipment to flash while in
"F" mode, one has to push down on the depth of field
preview button. Another words, the sutter button is
not even pushed at this point. The depth of field
button can be pushed down as many times as it takes to
get a reading that's correct...all this without having
to use any film.
Last I checked, pushing the sutter button while in the
"F" mode makes the camera sound as if it's taking a
picture.
HOWEVER, the manual never states that the picture can
be taken while in the "F" mode, NOR does it mention
anything about setting it at the "M" mode with the
recomended settings to shoot the picture.
All of the other modes "T", "A", "P" etc allows use of
the shutter button to take a picture while in THAT
mode.
It would be intersting to see if anyone here has
worked with the "F" mode.
