Hi David,
yes turn out was at its highest ever I think - our ageing democracy 
seems to be still quiet kicking as a result.
My remark was not a politically charged one, just an image to be shared 
between friendly neighbours.

About Ms Royal; she was born in the vicinity of Metz I think, but is not 
considered as being a local by people round here. You have to remember 
that California is about a half the population of France, so if we are 
to compare things, "local" doesn't mean the same for everyone.


It will be as you stated it quite an interesting race to watch on the 
national level, but also from a European perspective I guess.

Have all a nice week and please do keep posting nice photographs; I 
haven't shot any for a week now and yours provide a welcome relief from 
the "pain" during my breaks :-)
