[LRflex] Re: Wild Turkey

Doug,

The other day, while driving my wife's Plymouth Grand Voyager, I got a great
shot of a Tom & 2 Hens. UNFORTUNATELY, The Tom decided to do a Kamikazee on
the front of the van & flew out in front of me at 70mph! WELL, that darn
chrome-plated plastic grill did not fare too well, nor did the A/C condensing
coils
behind them, nor the new, (2 weeks old), radiator support assembly (also
plastic). All-in-all, about $900.00 damage.

I wish that I had had my digital camera out of its case so that I could have
taken a series of shots of him, before, during and after the Kamikazee
assault. He literally exploded! the two cars that were tailgating me were
barraged by
large, flying chunks of debris in the form of bloody, feather-encrusted meat!
(that'll teach em to follow so close).

I'm still picking feathers and turkey meat out of numerous nooks and crannies
in the van. The only good thing to come of this is the fact that my daughter
borrowed my 535i BMW that day so I wasn't driving it. Of course the bimmer is
a much more stout car with very little plastic anywhere. I probably would have
fared much better, just requiring a thorough wash job or so.
