Good Mornin' Bob!

Nice shots! I like the Bay Breasted Warbler the best of the two.
Nice catch-light in the eye, too!

I find the 2x extender to be a most useful tool. Mine is the old, SL
style, with no linkages. With the Telyt-400, of course, this doesn't
make much difference! ;-)

The combination of 2x and Telyt does, however, vignette (see
http://www.telyt.50megs.com/nab_Blue%20Heron.htm) rather badly. The
newer APO Extender-R does not do this. However, with the 20-D and
the DM-R the smaller sensors lie entirely within the 'sweet spot',
and no vignetting is visible. :-)

Moreover, it is well known that the longer the focal length (and the
straighter the angle of incoming light) the better any extender will
work. The Telyt + 2x combo is so close to the Telyt alone, that I
can rarely tell the difference ... whether on film or on digi -
except for the vignetting, of course.

Better still, because the extender increases the effective focal
length, but does not change the minimum focus distance, it gives you
a lot more flexibility with little "dickie birds" and "puddle ducks".

Keep up the good work!
