[LRflex] Re: Was: Concentration; Now: Colour of light. (HELP!)

David, Eteinne, & Aram,

This may be "politically incorrect," but if the " low pressure sodium (natrium), discharge lamps" make the room appear yellow to the eye, then leave the photo alone. It is correct as it stands, as that is the way it is seen by visitors.

Besides, I like it that way! Stunning!

Hi Bill!

Ah, my friend ... that is the problem. The room is not "yellow to the eye". The colours appear roughly "normal", as the mind makes the correction. Thus, my natural reaction is to make my image look as I remember it, not as the film (or sensor, in this case) records it. And, because of the narrow band light source, this seems to be almost impossible.

I'm glad you like it with the yellow cast, but I think I will stay with the black and white version.

Still, I want to thank you, Charlie, Etienne and Aram once again ... for if nothing else, this has been, for me, a very educational exchange.

Thanks again, guys!

Cheers!
