[LRFlex] Re: UV Filters

Art, following our past exchange, I conducted some test about the elmarit 24

This ghost will dim a lot when the shade is added: conclusion, always use the lens WITH the shade.

Now, there are still unsollicited reflexion and the use of a filter (UVa) might induce some degradation with side light (typically taking a picture of a scene with ligh coming from a window, end afternoon)

Cheers.

Doug,

Even though I always use the unofficial "Art Tafil Method" of checking for
reflections, when I want the best image quality, I'm like you, NO FILTERS!

I've found that, even the best of em WILL GHOST to a certain amount and when
you least want them to.
