Thanks David but 'fraid not , I've tried again and again to get this
effect but it just doesn't quite work yet, if you take a look at the
other 2 shots
of flowers, a Poppy and an Orchid, those were attempts to get the same
result. Some of the background is still there whatever I do.

I think personally that the poppy takes on a life of its own and becomes
something weird, like what you might find in the
depths of an ocean, then I look at it another day and it looks somehow
Asiatic.
I could try getting rid of it in Photoshop but I'm still very much a
beginner as far as that is concerned.
