Good evening David,

My Canon experience.....

I dropped my Canon 24-70/2.8 L lens in Beijing a few years ago and it ended
up in a rather sorry state.  I took it to the Canon service centre there at
5pm one afternoon and the lens was ready for collection by 11am the next
morning.  They charged me less than US$30.
