I haven't tried that product, but IMHO... the software is clearly
problematic. After all you've gone through, it's probably time to try
something else.

Are you able to get the color balance "in the ballpark" using a utility
such as Adobe Gamma? I'm not sure what you mean by "consistent colour".
Does the monitor color balance change from one use to the next (it
shouldn't do that)? If you're trying to match the color that you were
getting on a decent CRT, it may be difficult, because the contrast range
and gamma are most likely very different between them. The video card can
also make a significant difference in how the LCD looks, as well as
whether your interface is analog or digital. LCDs also vary from one model
to the next, so it would help to know more about yours to make some
suggestions.
