[LRFlex] Re: Sigma 39mm -> 80mm Zoom lens???

Why not try to find an older 45~90 Angenieu lens that was made for the R3 & R4's.

'Cause I'm not really looking for a zoom in that (or any) range.

Yes, they're very good. I passed up a chance to buy the Angenieux 70~210, which is reportedly very good optically, but, I thought, quite poor mechanically. I got the 80~200 Vario-Elmar instead and LOVE it!

The Angenieux lenses go cheap (by Leica standards) but the Sigma is CHEAP (by *any* standards!). I can get it for under US$100! If I buy it, it will under 'toys'... not serious hardware... though the Tamron 24mm f2.5 I had was surprisingly good. :)
