Hi all,
This being April, I would like to propose that we take a moment to
remember a great Leica M-camera 'street photographer' that was born in
April ninety plus years ago; he left behind some classic B&W images
from yesteryear for us to enjoy and be inspired even today.
He is none other than Robert Doisneau (born April 14, 1912).
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Doisneau. This photographic
artist not only captured moments in time, he also captured our hearts.
Here's one of his most famous photographs, "Le Baiser de l'Hotel de
Ville, Paris, 1950"

which sold for a quarter million greenbacks in 2005!

Other pictures of his are chronicled here:

I have some photos taken in Florence, Italy from March this year, that
were inspired by "Le Baiser de l'Hotel de Ville (The Kiss at City
Hall)", and wanted to know if I would offend anyone if I posted them
on this thread in homage to this French photographic artiste
extraordinaire! Please let me know your thoughts before I venture to
put these online, and perhaps even invite other folks on this thread
to share their shots in this genre?
Cheers,
Eric Chan
