[LRflex] SV: Re: SV: Re: IMPORTANT: Re: DMR Support

Colin,

Before you do anything in software land you have a design spec. I am not
asking for internal project status reports, but if Leica was working on the
bug-fix, they should be able to say what it will fix. Bear in mind Mr. Eckhardt
isn't giving any ETA or glimpse of the content

The run around we are getting is indicative if you aren't actually doing
anything on it, which I suspect is the case:(

I have been looking at the DMR, but I am not committing my money before I can
rest assured that I am not going to be stuck with a white elephant.

Best
Tim

This may be one of those 20/80 problems. The first 80% of the task
takes 80% of the time. The last 20% takes 80% of the time too.

I expect he doesn't have a crystal ball.

This is not how companies work. Maybe the Project Manager gets
reports, but I know of no company that gives weekly updates on the
problems they're facing.

That's true. But did you hear that Canon have not claimed they are
discontinuing the 1DS Mk II?

Based on the following... ?

And them selling them as fast as they can make them?

And I think that spreading rumours based on software delays and the
phase of the moon is irresponsible.

This is not intended as a flame - I respect your opinion and could
understand DMR owner's possible irritation. I just think that, at
this time, there is no reason to worry.
