[LRflex] Re: S2 Pricing...

David,

Somewhere in Dr. Kaufmann's remarks he said the price for the S2 body
would be between 10,000 and 20,000 Euros and they were trying to keep
it below 15,000.

I cans search for it if you would like me to.

Best,

Bill

Good Mornin' Bill!

Well, 15,000 Euros is still $22,908 Canadian Dollars ... well beyond anything I can ever afford. And that's without any glass!

Even if I could afford it, I would not buy it. With the longest lens at 180mm, I cannot imagine how it might be at all useful for wildlife work! Perhaps wild elephants, but that's about it!

I can see the camera may well have a market, but only for those full time, working pros who can write it off.

However, I do think that it will go a long way to restoring some of the lost lustre to the Leica name.

While I'd love to see one and play with it, I will await the R10.

Cheers!
