Not so sure Steve. The Germans think a lot, then act, sometimes fast. Austrians I don't know. So, why are they asking R users to post on LFI, right now, when they're starting, at last, on the 9.2 Diesel ? I think it is twofold; reviving the R spirit, or keeping it alive - we orphans of the Leica family know the feeling - they have understood that. Yet I sense that R-evival is only second to assessing what kind of photographs R owners shoot, and maybe more - I'd do that in any case - in terms of which "sociological strata" they will be offering the final product when it comes out, and what they actual most frequent needs are, not only experts' or pros'. Anyone into marketing strategies or zoology around?
Maybe I'm wrong - but I'm naive enough to think I'm not. Amitiés Philippe
and likely doomed, both by the prices, but also by the fact that while they can jump ahead, there is no way that they can stay ahead...and it pisses me off...because it going to hurt the very people, like us, who have supported them for years...SteveFrank Filippone red735i@xxxxxxxxxxxxx as long as we are guessing the eventual R10 cost, when it arrives optimistically in 2010, or maybe later, I will guesstimate $10, 000-12, 000 USD, maybe more if it appears later... I'll save this...
