Hello Flexers,
I just want to second David's opinion about Silky Pix. I started
digital photography using only Jpegs and some Tiffs
when scanning film. I resisted for a long time going to RAW until
Adrian Bradshaw in Beijing finally gave me hell and
told me that graduating to RAW was an important step in maximizing
the technical quality of my digital pix. (We won't
get into their artistic merits today!) So, I started to shoot RAW
plus basic JPEG for ready reference, and since Silky Pix
came with my Lumix L1 I started with that. It was so simple to use
compared to photoshop that I was hooked and now
I have purchased two licenses for Silky Pix Studio 3.0E - one for the
laptop and one for the desk top. I now use
Photoshop for spotting only.
Cheers
Howard (in Hong Kong)
