Philippe, Gary, et al:

The R10 is slated to be introduced at the Sept. 2008
Photokina. Unless Leica fails, before then, this is almost a certainly.

As for the "lack of support" I believe this reflects some
difficulties in releasing the promised v1.3 firmware update, and has
nothing to do with support of the DMR in any way.

The DMR continues to be available and sold. The problems with v1.3
of the firmware are typical for all firms who outsource. And when
things get delayed, rumours suddenly abound.

That is why Leica are working hard to build "in house" software
capabilities in time for the R10. The M8 firmware was outsourced,
too. Leica now have the capabilities needed to do their own firmware
for the Digilux-3 and their capabilities are growing. Sadly, it all
takes more time than we, as consumers, want.

Cheers!
