Alex,
I concour, not only the winder, my 50mm summilux is still in Kit, waiting
for repair.
My Dad just laughed at me, pointing his old Minolta SRT and MC lens never
gave up.
Cheers.

The winder would power the camera and rewind, but not advance the film.
Then, suddenly, it worked.
I am at a loss to explain it!
Anybody have a better idea?
Yep - get yourself a Nikon MD-4 motor drive (99.9% reliable), and a Nikon
F3..... :-)
Seriously folks, Leica always seem to have problems with winders. The
brand new one I bought for my R3 either ran away with film or didn't work
at all. It is now in my junk cupboard (closet?)
No such problems with Nikons.
Best
Alex
