Well, I'm perhaps not so creative, but I've just sent it to Leica/New Jersey. This is the second time, the first for light leak issues. Now it has broken off mirror lockup control (collision with child) and broken plastic film takeup spool. I'm even having the leatherette repaired for nostalgia's sake. As others have replied, I expect they will work on anything Leica.
