"focusing screen not properly seated" : It happened to me at Easter and
I lost a couple of rolls without even noticing the flaw.
In fact, the "views" in the finder were ok, but I was then to discover
consistently blurry results, too late of course, when back home and the
films had been processed...
Hope you can find a quick solution.
Test/process quickly/modify if necessary before it is too late as India
is a remote country :-[
