Hi david,
Oh it was OK because this was the last day of shooting. The film was a throw 
away!! Fortunately the best material was on rolls from the earlier part of 
the day. I put the camera in a pail of water for the drive to Toronto the 
next morning to Leica Canada for over haul just in case. And yes it was a 
good thing it was fresh water because I'd have done the same as I did 
several years before in Halifax Harbour.

While shooting a "Honey moon couple" having a wonderful time on a big 
sailing yacht with full sails up, the skipper laid it well to Starboard 
putting the gunnel awash. The last frame was salt water heading in my 
direction and couple laughing their heads off.
A beautiful photo really only because I tripped the shutter due to boat 
motion and not my picture taking instinct. :-)

I managed to get the film out OK into my bag. Then dropped the camera over 
board, accidently of course ;-) due to boat motion catching me off balance. 
Again! ;-) So I could claim insurance for a new one because no matter what 
cleaning is done after a good salt water bath, would you ever trust the 
camera again? Particularly while earning your living with it?

Yeah I know bad boy thing, but what the hell sometimes you just gotta do 
what you gotta do!
