[LRFlex] Re: Permanence issues - WAS 'leicareflex Digest V2 #132'

Let me add my 0.02 Camembert in here...

Probably, your Grand Son will have a picture on a paper that has gone sour over the age like we have today a rotten B&W restored today under photoshop...

We spoke lengthly today with Serge, the street photog. In his young days, a picture was offered to a friend as a memory of a good time. Today, a picture is exchanged over the phone, consumed and then destroyed. Consumed, a piece of information, nothing more.

See, we exchange images over the net, may be you looked at one of mine, drowned in the flow that come in your mailbox daily, you consumed my production.

Hey, it's rather normal, too much information to digest....

Regards.

As long as there are scanners there won't be a problem. They might not be the dedicated film/negative scanenrs as we know them now but flatbed scanners won't go away and they're getting better so by they they might be adequate for 35mm negatives.
