Rose and I spent a delightful evening with Ted & Irene just over a

week ago. While there, he gave us a "run through" of his "The Art of

Observation" presentation, in it's final form. To say that it is a

spectacular collection of images would be an understatement of the

first order. Everything from his shot of David Ben-Gurion (often

mistaken for a Yousuf Karsh portrait), to Jackie Kennedy, to Pierre

Trudeau, to various Olympics, the Congo, Malaysia and so much more I

can barely recall it all.

He is, I understand, giving the same show, with a more technical

talk, to some of the students at Ryerson Tech (Toronto), but it's

probably a little late to enroll for that!

Catch it, if you can!<<<<<<<<<

Hi David,

Thanks for the plug about the PMA trade show presentation. Just like to say
it was a smashing success to the extent it brought tears to the eyes of some
when looking at the pictures of the Chernobyl children. Certainly hearing my
difficulties of emotionally coping with shooting the documentary.

The presentation at Sheridan College went very well particularly when you
find you've moved about 150 students of various photo disciplines with your
photography creating a standing ovation! A big heart felt lift making the
weeks of preparation of just the right mix of images for impact and
teaching.

NOTE: (The college was mistaken in my initial post as Ryerson. It was
Sheridan College.)

The PMA trade show for those who've never attended is amazing in size and
number! Unbelievable! I suppose somewhat like Photokina in Germany.
