[LRflex] Non Leica, Digital Wanderings, The R10 tha I dream of.

Hello To all,

In these days of Photokina, I went to an old Castle, Vaux le Vicomte, known
for a very famous scandal (at the time of Louis XIV...) involving the
landlord of the property, Nicolas Fouquet.

Last Sunday, some dancers and comedians animated the castle, let me
introduce the Roi Soleil

If you take the time to peep, you will probably say: wow, that's Leica 35mm
of hiZ R7...

Wrong guess, Olympus Camedia C300, 3 MPix, check the EXIF, paid a 50
Pouloutes on Ebay...

Of course, there is a little polish from.... Corel Paintshop pro, 3 clicks,
all automatic...

Here is another one:

Surprising, eh?

---> it brings me to the main subject of this post: I just happen to stumble
on this point and shoot camera which is the ideal replacement for the aging
olympus:

Of course it is not a Leica but it seems to do a god job AFAIC. A nice
complement to my R7 and its lenses.

---> Given the tremendous possibilities of this little Point and shoot,
given to see what a simple old digital camera can do, I believe there is a
market, potentially great, for a body that would have the same function as
the Leica M8 but adapted to the R series.

The only thing would be the view finder. Well, a EVF would probably do
(although a nice Optical would do better). But a well designed body,
simple, noisless at 1600 ISO, is probably a winner. Even if it needs ROM
lenses to be amended to give the information for the processing unit.

I told you, these are digital wanderings, I take the chance to post them as
the Moderator (David Young) is at Photokina, probably our best Ambassador
for the new R10....

Regards.
