Good afternoon,
The R6-2 is a full mechanical body, so from the points of view of simplicity
and reliability it can be compared to a M, with the added advantage of
having a reflex viewfinder. The battery in it only serves to power the light
meter cell, again as in a M5, M6 or M7.
The R6-2 is also one of the Leica bodies currently used by Sebastiao
Salgado, that also may account for its market value ....who knows ?
All the best,
Etienne TOUSSAINT
