Hi list,
I was very pleased tonight to see that the Gallery had re-opened.
First of all I, must say that the picturs look much sharper and the
colours more vivid, I don't know why. That's the really good thing.
The second is far less positive for the "small" picures are displayed in
squares. Most of us shoot in 24x36mm and have an eye for the format. A
square is totally incompatible with what I, at least, want to show most
of the time. Let me call it a very sorry feature and a hindrance.
More, although my screen is set at 1280x1024 I had to keep scrolling up
and down in order to view some of the pictures in full, on a 17" screen.
I wonder what Mac or 15' PC users will see all the more so as it is very
slow, from over here at least..
As a result, until I rekindle my Mamiya back to shooting I don't think I
will post more pictures there, unless this is a temporary experiment,
the result of a flaw in the programme, or a preview of a fine-tuned
display to come.
This was tonight mood, I might change my mind after a good night's sleep
after all.
Yours
Phileicangenieux.
PS: I don't mean anything nasty about the people who did their best on
that job, I'm sorry I simply no longer fit in.
