David,

Both seem pleased to see you and struck very nice poses. Glad they did
not see you as a threat.

And please, don't "should" all over yourself; it's not nice!

:-)

Thanks, Bill. The only reason I "shoulda" taken the Telyt was that the shots shown are cropped ... from the distance I was from them, I could have easily shot full frame equivalents. The difference between 280 mm and 400mm. (I'd rather not get "too" close to a sow and her cubs... discretion being the better part of valour!)

Still, I was happy to get the shots that I did, though I'd hoped for one of the classic "family portraits" of mother and both her cubs. However, the black cub never gave me a clear shot, preferring to stay in the underbrush, while neither cub got too close to Moma, before they all wandered into the deep brush. I decided not to follow!

What really pleases me is that we've had this same sow and her cubs in our crab apple tree, around 4 AM, for the last 3 nights. However, it's so dark at that hour, that even at ISO 3200, results have been "iffy" at best... though their antics *are* fun to watch! To be able to get clean shots, in daylight, and so convenient to home, was a treat!

Thanks for taking the time to look.

Cheers!
