Your story made me smile. Some interesting catches there.

Had a similar experience on one of my U.K. trips a few years
ago in early June. Hardly knew what day it was, woke up and
grabbed this one before dawn, maybe 4:45 AM !!!

This is a window in a 500-year-old B&B in a tiny village in the
Cotswolds where I like to hide, and the manor house in the
distance is equally old.

When the English have any light at all, it's often magical and
I've decided that they cheat! :-)
