[LRflex] Re: More contoversy!

Perish the thought David,
I think that a comparison is a good thing- just side by side-, and
they're excellent photos too, but I don't think there is any real way of
making an evaluative
statement about one or the other. The gist of my mail was just an
attempt or suggestion, to get away from comparing apples and oranges
and more towards
comparing Granny Smith and Golden Delicious. Which, at the end of the
day boils down to a matter of taste (and price per kilo ;-) ).
Ted is of course right in what he wrote, it really doesn't matter a
tinker's toss as long as we're getting the shots we want, which I am
with the 20D and it looks as if you are with your new DMR. At least
you'll be using purely Leica glass from now on - must be quite a relief,
not having to compare Canon and Leica lenses too :-)
cheers
Douglas
BTW, http://gallery.leica-users.org/New-Old-Pictures/MG_3558_crop
cropped out of the centre of a frame from the Canon 20D at ISO 800 -
with a Zeiss lens - just to start the next controvery
