I recall Doug's idea. However, for many reasons, unless one is a primary
manufacturer of all electronic components it could be difficult to
impossible to retain the backwards-compatibility of such a system. I
suspect it is much easier to offer R10, R11, etc. as with earlier
film-only "Rs". In short, I'm not so much against the modular concept as I
am accepting of the practicality of integrated bodies.
