[LRflex] Re: M8 Upgrading available

I have one question concerning the IR filters offered by Leica as a "fix". 
Do they also reduce visible light spectrum?  In otherwords do they have a 
"filter factor" that may reduce the effective transmission speed of the 
lens?   If it does not affect the T factor of the lens then the offered 
filters seem ok to me.  Some may want  the enhanced IR look.  :-)
