[LRflex] Re: M8

Hi Elliot,
I like the Nikon idea for itself.

Although I don't own either an M or a D7/80; and without any attempt to 
be offensive, I'd say that apart from the fact that in both cases you 
have to get to a screen to know what you've shot, you can't compare 
these two (cf one of Aram's last post saying he had discovered, was it 
an insect, when on his computer screen).

This does not apply to the D200 and above, to any F and even less to any 
R; depth of field, framing, perspective, etc are likely to be under 
visual control in what I still think is a normal standard viewfinder.
Not so with new generation blind test photographic equipment (note: I'm 
just playing with language, no offence meant at all and I'm sure the 
results will be impressive although difficult to master and deliberately 
create).
More, isn't the Leica M philosophy a P&S one after all? Back to 
Barnack's square one, be it with a D80, a Lumix, or a Digilux 3.
