It is indeed good news for M users and, we all hope, for the future of Leica.
David, as some of you know, is currently exploring the delights of
gay Paree before he and Rose mosey over to us in Cork, Ireland, on 19
September before we head for Wetzlar via ferry to England and Channel
Tunnel.
We are both booked in for a session with the M8 at the Leicaschule on
October 5. I'll remind him to ask about the current state of digital
R development.
FWIW I'm going mostly retro in homage to Barnack, taking three LTM
Leicas, and maybe
one M body and three lenses to try on the M8.
My 'flexes must unfortunately remain in the cupboard for this trip.
Best
Alex
