I am constantly amazed at the quality produced by
the combination of a 20D and Leica-R glass.<<<<
Hi Douglas,
There isn't any question about the amazing quality derived from R Leica
lenses, on the 20D and I expect from other Canon digi cameras also.
Certainly those lenses I've worked with more so than others for about 6
months, 100mm macro 2.8 and in particular the 80-200 f4.0 zoom lens.
The 80-200 is cutting at ASA100 as though I'm using super fine grain colour
slide film. The smoothness of skin and colour shooting faces at 200mm, well
OK some very attractive young model potential women, it's amazing. Not to
forget edge sharpness of eye lashes and snap of highlights in the eyes.
I have completely given up on discussing the constant babble of digi numbers
of what it will and wont do! Waste of time quite simply because I'm looking
at the end product on major enlargements and not the constant babble of nit
picking numbers.
Obviously numbers get some people all a twitter and turned on.
Where I'm far more concerned in the end quality of the photograph
reproduction than the constant number thing. So far making 13X19 prints on
an EPSON 2200 it's creating drop dead prints with my "old colour lab people"
whom I've paid a fortune to over ther years producing my colour printing and
slide processing wondering what the hell I do! ;-) I show them and they
don't believe it! Now isn't that much better than meaningless numbers unless
yer a geekie kind a guy! ;-)
As many of you know already, my answer as usual is.... "KISS!" keep it
simple stupid, shoot away with no more thought than making good solid
photographs while letting the camera do 99.9% of the worrying! Click. Print!
Smile and feel good! :-)
Nice photo and having fun without all the digi number BS!! :-) Have a nice
LEICANON day! :-)
ted
