[LRflex] Re: Leica R to EOS adaptors ... alternative brands.

Hi Guys & Gals,
One thing I find interesting here is that for a few dollars more you can get
an adapter, click it on lens or into camera body and it works perfectly.

Yet it seems many of you are prepared to purchase a cheaper version that
allows the lens to "begin wobbling." Or you carry a screw driver to jig
something else. Or you add shims that I'm sure eventually wiggle out. Or any
number of other things we've seen posted in the name of saving a few
dollars, But in fact it really is purchasing what can be a big pain in the
butt complete with a mass of fiddling. Or worse the adapter allows the lens
to fall off the camera smashing it on concrete! Bad scene! :-( Big repair
or replacement bill! So much for the cheaper version adapter! :-(

So would someone like to explain the economics of the cheaper version with
all the screwing around? Like where is the saving in buying? Is this not an
example of being penny wise and pound foolish?

But then I'm not a fiddle with things kind of guy! Because when I pick-up a
camera I want it to go click when I click it, without fear anything is going
to fall apart! Not work, too tight to use properly or what I see with what
some of you lads saying, screwing around with dinky little screw drivers
that would drive me right around the bend breaking my concentration on the
shooting.
