[LRflex] Leica R lenses on Nikon D700

Tried the 180 Telyt on the D700 and no audible focus confirmation for
that lens either.
With the 24 - 70mm Nikon zoom the focus confirmation beep works when
the camera is set to
AF, but if set to manual focus there is no audible confirmation of
focus with the Nikon zoom either.
If you leave the camera on AF there is still no audible confirmation
with the two R lenses I have with me.
I think no R lenses will give audible focus confirmation with the
D700. Anyone got a D3 or D3x
to try?
