Der Aufsichtsrat der Leica Camera AG hat am heutigen Tage Herrn Steven K.
Lee als Mitglied und Vorsitzenden des Vorstands der Leica Camera AG mit
sofortiger Wirkung abberufen.

Gleichzeitig hat der Aufsichtsrat Herrn Dr. Andreas Kaufmann zum weiteren
Mitglied des Vorstands sowie zum Vorsitzenden des Vorstands, und zwar für
die Zeit bis zum 28. Februar 2009, bestellt. Herr Dr. Andreas Kaufmann wird
die Gesellschaft zunächst gemeinsam mit Herrn Andreas Lobejäger leiten.

The supervisory board of Leica Camera AG today dismissed Mr Steven K Lee from his function as a member and chairman of the board of Leica Camera AG with immediate effect. Simultaneously, the board has elected Dr Andreas Kaufmann as an additional member of the board, as well as to the position of chairman, for the period until February 28, 2009. Dr Andreas Kaufmann will intitially head the company together with Mr Andreas Lobejäger. Dr Kaufmann is authorised to manage the company alone.
