I'm not sure what is meant..  "no more consumer optics"..

Is this meant for focus on the Panasonic relationship?  The Summarit Lens
Line?   The disappearance of lenses like the 50 Elmar, the 3E, and other
lenses that suddenly went puff?

 

I think there was a big mistake in killing off the 3E.

 

Now if a bean counter is in control of the company, what lenses will go?
WATE?  ( I'll betcha this one won't last the first assassination round)
Summarits?

 

More importantly, what R+D programs go away??  The M9?  R10?  The Upgrade
your M8 glass back for $2K ( with warranty extension)?

 

And about that promise that the M8 will be upgradeable "forever"?

 

Time will tell.
