Just got a parcel from Novoflex,
if anyone is thinking of buying Kindai EOS adapters, they are wonderful
quality, but quite expensive (145 euros) bits of precision engineering,
I just got the Exakta, the Rollei and their M42 that depresses the
aperture pin.
A note on the Exakta adapter, later Topcon lenses with Exakta mounts
won't adapt, one of the pins (aperture simulator?) stops the adapter
being connected correctly, but , as I have no intention of using the
lenses on a Topcon body I just snipped off the pin, and now it works
perfectly.
I hope to be trying out new/old glass on the 20D tomorrow, a couple of
tests so far show that the Topcon 1,8/58 may just be a superb lens. Now
looking forward to picking up some s/h Rollei mount lenses - pretty
inexpensive on the s/h market here in Germany, even the Zeiss models are
considerably lower priced than the same lenses in CY mount.
Cheers
Douglas
