Julian, there are inexpensive foam replacement kits on ebay. IMHO one of the
worst things you can do to an R4 is leave it sitting idle, particularly if you
live in a humid climate. Surface corrision on internal mechanical parts will
eventually cause problems.
Pat, I've used R4s and R4sP bodies, and they do better if they're used
regularly. I found that with regular use and a CLA every 15 years or so they
will be quite reliable.
