Cheng, Too bad I didn't know you were in Fredricton, I was out there last May to visit my son at CFB Gagetown. We could have got together to compare the merits of Tamron Adaptall lenses on R bodies. He has since been transferred to CFB shilo, MB, so I don't know when I'll get your way next. For all those others out there, the SP Tamron lenses offer a good alternative for those really long, or really wide lenses that you only need occasionally, and can't justify the expense of buying a Leica lens in tha length. On my (rudimentary) website at: http://members.shaw.ca/nhcharch the photo of Mount Assiniboine's peak in sunrise is shot on the 70~210 Tamron zoom, the shot of the mountain with the fireweed plants in front was shot with the 24 mm.
