David Y. you > > >are always good in organizing these things? (hint) and I replied > I think that would be a huge mistake. And then Mehrdad asked? >why david? Well, I can think of a number of reasons. 1) As mentioned in previous emails, Leica are not building v1.3. Imacon are. And it's Imacon who appear to be dragging their feet. 2) Hounding Leica over something over which they have little control only (a) wastes their time and (b) allows them to categorize you as a "pest". That is not a category you want to be in, should you ever need something important from them. 3) offering to be a Beta tester is pointless. Beta testing was done, last August/September and is long since finished. 4) there are other reasons. I am sorry, but I have been given that information in confidence and I will honour that commitment. So you'll have to trust me on this one... it would be a bad idea. I am waiting, anxiously, for v1.3 like everybody else. But, making a nuisance of yourself is not going to make it happen any faster. If you wish to proceed, I ask that you make no mention of me, or this list. I do not wish to be involved with such a plan.
