Steve,
I like the middle one. I have a feeling that isn't the right
answer. :-)
With the first one the foreground is a bit harshly lit, and not
very interesting, and the soft background sets one looking for the
sharp foreground, but none of it is quite sharp. I would probably
like the background better without the foreground, and would
like it better still if the sharper parts were sharp instead of less
unsharp.
The 2nd shot is gorgeous.
The 3rd shot is really interesting visually, but I think there is a
little too much going on for me. I also don't like that the area in
the window is washed out, but that should be easy to fix. I think
I would crop out the railing or whatever that is on the bottom and
some of what is on the left, and work on the brightness values
so that the stone on the right doesn't get lost.
I think I can see where you're going with it, the thin leaves
floating, and it's a good concept.
Just my (now worth even less) 2 cents.
