Doug Showed:
this male Ruddy Duck in breeding plumage: http://www.wildlightphoto.com/birds/anatidae/rudu00.html
Very nice, Doug. These little fellas are quite skittish around people ... at least the ones at my end of the world.
I got my first decent pose with one, just a week ago. But, he was so far away, I ended up using the 400 Telyt w/2x on the monopod. The result just wasn't stable enough... Ok (though not good) for the web, in small sizes only -due to camera shake. No worth anything larger. I might have done better had I added the shoulder stock, but it was out of commission due to a lost machine screw. :-(
Makes me appreciate just how well you've done! Thanks for sharing!
